Why vaccinate?
Vaccines help protect children against serious infections such as measles, polio, whooping cough and others. They are among the most effective and well-studied tools in child health.
Schedules in Pakistan
Pakistan's Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI) provides a national schedule starting at birth. Some additional vaccines may be recommended depending on your child's age and circumstances. A doctor can review your child's card and discuss what is appropriate.
Practical tips
- Keep the vaccination card safe and bring it to every visit
- If a dose was missed, it can usually be caught up — do not restart
- Mild fever or soreness after a vaccine is common and short-lived
- Seek urgent care for breathing difficulty, swelling of the face, or persistent high fever
